A Valentine’s Day Message

Happy Valentine’s Day, my loves! 

It’s been awhile since my last post due to my recent travels and to be honest this is the first time I have turned on my computer in 10 days.  I just wanted to pop in for a quick message on this love filled day.  I might not have a significant other in my life at the moment, but I feel very blessed to be surrounded by so much love in my life from my family and friends.  This year I actually have THREE Valentines, my pups and my niece! 🙂 I am totally ok with that too because I know that when the time is right, God will bring the right man into my life.  I used to hate this day whenever I was single because it made me feel so alone, but as I have gotten older I’ve learned to embrace the love that I do have in my life instead of focusing on the fact that I might not have it from that one special person. It will come though as all things do when they are supposed to.  I’ve stopped putting myself on this scheduled timeline and am literally just taking each day as it comes.  I am really in no rush at all and have grown to love life as a single girl in her 30s!

Every year without fail, my father was always my Valentine and if anything that is the only thing that now makes me a little sad on days like today.  I could always count on him to make me feel special and loved.  He’s always in my heart though and so are all of my memories of him.  He will forever be the number one man in my life.  If you’re single like me, then I hope you still find ways to embrace and enjoy this day with all of your GALentines. 😉 It might be absolutely freezing in New York City right now, but maybe that’s the perfect excuse to have a single gals night in watching Netflix, drinking red wine and ordering from Seamless.  Sounds like perfection to me and if I wasn’t already back home in Jersey, then that’s exactly what I would be doing.  Instead, I’m eating chocolate from Sweden in bed with Kiko.  No judgements. haha.
