Brunch every Sunday? Yes, please. I have an obsession with breakfast food and can eat it any time of day. This dates back to years ago in my younger teen years. I actually used to hate eating breakfast, but when my parents first got divorced, my father would pick me up for breakfast every Sunday morning. Sunday was our day and that’s when we got to bond the most. As I got older, we still kept this tradition as often as we could. Breakfast started to have a whole new meaning for me, although to be honest, I didn’t truly appreciate it until the last few years. When my father passed, many times I would go to the diner by myself on Sunday to have breakfast. Once in awhile, I still do that. I know this little story doesn’t have anything to do with my outfit, but breakfast is part of brunch and it just got me thinking about it, so I wanted to share.
Outfit Details
Vest: Ideel (similar) / Shirt: Mandee (love this one) / Shorts: ThreadSence
Shoes: Call It Spring / Bag: Prima Donna (love this)
I was in an edgy mood when I put this look together and my goal was to do something a little different than my usual. My mom surprised me with this graphic tee, so of course I had to wear it out on Sunday. I liked the idea of pairing it with this blazer vest. [a new favorite piece for summer] I’m pretty sure you will be seeing this vest a few more times over the next couple of months. I thought it was a little unexpected to style these two pieces with a pair of distressed denim shorts. These are definitely short shorts, [who wears short shortssss] so I love that the vest really helped to great a good balance with this outfit. I don’t mind showing some leg, but I am not ok with anything hanging out in the back if you know what I mean. The vest was a surefire way to prevent this from happening. I completed the look with these lace up sandals. These were a great addition since they’ve got some edginess and a somewhat casual feel to them. Then to break up the black, I added in my white bag and a bright pink lip.
Hope you are all having a great week so far! <3
Love the look! The distressed denim compliments the chic monochromatic tones very well, and adds an edgier dimension to the ensemble.
