For today’s look, I wanted to incorporate one of the biggest fall print trends: plaid. Although these are shorts, I thought this was a fun way to start wearing the trend now as we reach the end of summer. Plaid can obviously be worn all year round, but it usually dominates during the fall season. Since these shorts are short, I wanted to balance that out up top by pairing them with a blazer. I think it’s always good to create that balance.
I ditched my typical pop of red and went with hot pink instead. I’ve always liked the pink and black combo. Since the shorts are high-waisted, I wanted to do a crop top. I was definitely crop top obsessed this summer! I can’t promise that they won’t continue to show up over the next two weeks before fall really comes. 😉
