Spring On My Mind

Happy Monday loves! After teasing this outfit on Instagram a couple of times, the full post is finally here. I’ve been thinking about some ways to put a different spin on my style posts
because as I’ve mentioned before, these don’t seem to get as much traction as my other
content. I’m not sure if it’s because you are seeing the outfits on Instagram first or if it’s the style of writing in these types of posts. I know that you guys really enjoy reading my
lifestyle content, so maybe there’s a way that I can incorporate more of that into my style
section so that I’m not only writing about the outfits. I want to continue evolving this space and make sure that you all enjoy coming back to it every time. Would love to get your thoughts!

I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to hang up the heavy coats and put all my winter gear in storage. For me, the best part about this season has been covering up my dermatitis while doing everything I can to maintain and minimize it. After going through so many struggles with this battle, I had to share something that seems to be working for me. Over the last month or so, I’ve been putting coconut oil all over my skin, especially on the affected areas. While it has not gone away completely, I’ve noticed major improvements! Almost all of the spots on my arms have completely faded and the same goes for the bottom half of my legs. My main problem area right now are my thighs. I am hoping that I can get this under control a bit more before the summer hits. I had to stop using the cream my dermatologist gave me because it caused part of the pigmentation on my arms to turn white. After doing a lot of research online, I just decided to try and do something myself at home. Now I’m not saying that coconut oil is the cure, but for now it definitely seems to be helping and I’m all about it. My goal this year is to be confident wearing a swimsuit!

One of my favorite parts about spring is the transitional period right before it fully hits. I know that this time can sometimes be confusing when it comes to figuring out what to wear, but I feel that an outfit like this one works so well. It’s all about losing most of the layers, but still wearing pieces that can provide some warmth on the cooler days. This is why a leather jacket has become such a staple in my wardrobe. I know I’ve touched on their versatility before because let’s face it, they pretty much go with just about everything. I especially love pairing them with pieces that have a more feminine touch, like this floral choker blouse. I’m so into this trend right now and even if it wasn’t trending, I would still rock it. Denim has been a major go-to for me, so to switch things up I went with these green distressed jeans instead of the the typical blue or black. It ended up picking up some of the color in the print and it all flowed together really well.

I’ve got another busy week ahead with a quick, but fun work trip to Cincinnati early
Thursday morning! I look forward to sharing more on that soon. I also have my sister’s
birthday and my cousin’s baby shower this weekend and then next week I’m shooting a video project! Also, stay tuned for my exciting news tomorrow that I teased last week. Hope you all have an amazing Monday my loves. 😘

Yay! Thanks love! I definitely want to do more of this. 🙂

  3. Love this look! A leather jacket is a staple in my closet as well and is usually my go-to outerwear choice!

Also, coconut oil has become my favorite thing in recent months. I have pretty severe keratosis pilaris on the back of my arms and it’s reduce the redness and bumps immensely!
