I teamed up with Tommy Hilfiger at the Garden State Plaza to showcase a few summer looks.   For today’s post I wanted to do a white & navy monochrome “business chic” outfit.  It’s been awhile since I did something that could be worn in the office or for a day filled with meetings.  I remember when I used to work in finance (yes.. finance!) and I would always stress out about what to wear during the summer.  The company I worked for was not too strict in terms of our clothes, but I couldn’t do open toe shoes or any tops with a thin strap.  This skirt length was allowed, but nothing shorter of course.  And I would always bring along a blazer or cardigan to wear in the office, just in case.   I just hated wearing pants 5 days a week, so outfits like this one always worked out well for me during the summer months 🙂

I thought that this was the perfect bag for work.  It’s big enough to carry a bunch of things from home to the office and it has a “business chic” look to it as well.  Definitely a summer staple.  It really helped to brighten up this outfit too, along with the pumps.  I’ve been gravitating towards shades of blue a lot more lately and white is always a good choice (in my opinion) so I just decided to combine the two for a head-to-toe look.  I love that this skirt has pockets!  I used to always sneak my cell phone in my pockets when I was at work so I could go to the bathroom or the back room and use it lol Oh, the memories.
