A Look Back At 2014

Where did this year go?  How did we get here again?  It seems as though the older I get, the quicker life passes by.  I can’t help but reflect on all of the things this year has brought me, both good and bad.  While it has had its ups and downs, 2014 has definitely been one of the best years of my life.  I have achieved many goals and I am proud of myself for working hard every day to keep my dreams alive.  I got to do a lot of traveling this year by starting out in San Fran for the Nordstrom Rack Summit to heading to LA for Lucky Fabb as one of the New Voices of Beauty to road tripping it to Montreal with my mom, to Miami for Swim Week and New York for Fashion Week and finally, ending the year off in DR for my friend’s wedding.  Traveling has fulfilled something within me that I cannot explain and I am looking forward to doing more of that next year.  My goal is to finally go to Europe!  Let’s see if I can make that happen.  I have met so many incredible people, formed many new friendships and worked with some amazing brands.  All of that I am grateful for.  I have pushed myself, taken risks, stepped out of my comfort zone, grown thicker skin and taken A Love Affair With Fashion to new levels.  There are so many new things that I have in store for 2015 and I cannot wait to share that with you all.

I think one of the reasons this year has been good to me is because I learned how to change my mentality.  When I think about the things that I want, I really envision them.  I see them in front of me as if I can touch them.  I pray for them and truly believe that I will get them.  I can honestly say that every single thing I wanted this year I got and that is why.  When things go wrong, I don’t play victim.  I don’t ask “Why me?” like I used to.  Now, I ask “What can I do to change this?”  Then I make that change.  Our minds are more powerful than we realize.  If you keep a negative mentality, if you are envious and live with intentions that are not pure, then that is what you will attract back into your life.  You can’t evolve that way and why would you want to?
I have had some personal struggles this year too, but I can let a huge sigh of relief out because I am leaving these struggles behind today and starting anew tomorrow.  The things that I have once been insecure about I am now embracing.   I am trying to do my best to work at the things that I know I need to improve on.  This year taught me a ton of life lessons.  It pushed me in many ways and tested my limits.  At times it even broke me down a bit.  But I am still here, stronger than ever and I am embracing the unknown.  I appreciate my family and am so grateful for them every single day.  They are my rock.  With them by my side, I am so ready to take on 2015!
Let me stop before this turns into a novel.  Here is a recap of some of my 2014 highlights, favorite photos and outfits, in no particular order.  There are 34 images. (20+14=34) 😉

Thank you all so much for your continued support and love.  It means the world to me and even though I have not met all of you, I consider you my friends.  I wish you all nothing but the best in this upcoming year.  May your lives be filled with health, happiness, love, success, positivity, and many blessings.
CHEERS to another year!  Let’s all do better & be better.
All my love. <3
