Black, White & Leopard

Happy Thursday loves! I’ve been a bit MIA with posting this week because I honestly needed a few days to clean, reorganize and declutter. It feels amazing to have done this because I was long overdue. I promised myself that this year I would take better care of not just my body, but my living space too. I really believe that when you declutter your space, you are also decluttering your mind. Most of the time when I lose a little bit of inspiration, it’s due to my environment being messy. I feel like I can breathe again! In the midst of my closet clean out, I came across this leopard gem from several years ago. You know I had to bring it back out to play!

I remember when I first got this coat. It was the winter season of NYFW back in Feb 2014 and I couldn’t wait to wear it. So crazy how much has changed since then. This coat still looks brand new too. It’s probably one of those pieces that I won’t ever part with. I usually have a rule when cleaning out my closet. I have to let go of something if I have not worn it in over a year. Sometimes though, I have to make an exception. I kind of fell in love with this all over again. My only issue is that the sleeves are super long on me, so the only way I can wear it comfortably is to roll them back a lot.

My initial instinct was to pair the leopard with a black and white look. I really wanted it to be the focal point of the outfit. I consider leopard to be a neutral, making styling
possibilities endless, but it also serves as an amazing statement piece and pop of print for any ensemble. Do you feel the same? I could not resist wearing these booties, yet again. I can’t tell you how long I was on the hunt for a pair like this and I’m so happy that I finally found them. I knew right away that they would become a winter staple.

In other news, I am gearing up for a busy month ahead! Working on lots of new projects that I can’t wait to share, including a fun partnership during NYFW. Have a great day loves!
