Grey & Burgundy

As you could probably tell from some of my recent posts, grey and burgundy is a new go-to color combo for me.  I just really like the way both of these colors work together, especially since one is a bit more muted while the other is bold.  It’s definitely the perfect fall palette, at least in my opinion.

Blazer: TopShop | Button Down: Forever21 [old, similar here] | Jeans: Dynamite: [old, similar here

Booties: Isola | Scarf: Charlotte Russe [similar style] | Bag: Prima Donna [also love

My blazer collection continuously grows throughout the years and it’s still one of my favorite pieces to style.  This one is different from my others as the material is thicker, making it a better option for this season.  I’ve always liked the way white button downs look paired underneath probably because my love for menswear runs so deep.  In fact, I think that menswear has influenced my style much more recently.  I’ve been trying to take things in a new and different direction.  I am not quite sure if any of you are seeing it yet, but I just felt I needed to switch things up. That’s the best part about personal style though, isn’t it?  You get to constantly create and evolve and do whatever feels right in the moment.

For the second half of this look, I thought it was best to wear my distressed skinnies and these burgundy booties.  Talk about a statement boot for fall!  I think that these are such a great way to elevate any outfit since they’re so bold.  I seriously can’t get enough of this color.  To tie everything together, I added on one of my printed scarfs, which matched perfectly with the booties.  I go through these moments where sometimes I want the colors in my outfit to match and other times I prefer to mix it up.  Do you love this combo as much as I do?

Since I am gearing up for my trip, I want to post as much as I can before I leave because most likely I will not blog the entire time that I am gone.  There might be an overload of style posts over the next week or so.  I was actually trying to avoid that, but I feel like when I get back home the temps will have dropped so I must take advantage now! 🙂

Have a fab day!
