I have This Thing With Floral & Leather

Happy Monday my loves, I’m back! I didn’t expect to be so MIA last week, but it was another crazy one. I had a quick work trip to Cincinnati with Always & Tampax that was jam-packed, so I just didn’t have to time to post anything on here. Hopefully you followed along on my Insta Stories though! It was such an informative and empowering trip that honestly came at the perfect time. I met so many incredible women of all ages and learned so much. I’m excited to work with both brands this year and create and share a different kind of lifestyle content with you all. One thing’s for sure, this experience definitely opened me up to taking about “that time of the month.” Stay tuned for more on that!

We are now on week 11 of 2017 and I have to admit, I struggled these last two weeks to keep up with my workout consistency. Part of it has just been due to a hectic schedule for both work and personal things. It’s literally just been one thing right after the other.
Traveling, even if only for a few days, always sets me back with this too. I’ve also been
feeling extra fatigued lately and a little off on my A game physically. I can’t really explain it, but I took this as a sign to just slow down a little and take it a bit easier on myself. I think sometimes I fall into the habit of overdoing it, in all aspects. It’s like my mind and body are always on overdrive. I’m still trying to figure out a better balance overall. This will probably always be a constant struggle as finding balance is one of the hardest things to do. I’ve noticed that even just a few days of not eating right or staying active can instantly make me feel sluggish, so I’m looking forward to getting back on track this week!

It feels like I shot this look forever ago because it’s taken me so long to go through the
photos and create this post. You might remember the sneak peek that I shared on Instagram. This was a few weeks back when we got a lovely taste of spring weather. That quickly came and went though as we are expecting a huge snowstorm starting tomorrow. They’re saying it’s possible we will get 18 inches! Please, say it ain’t so! For the sake of this post though, let’s just pretend that we’re back to that 65 degree weather, shall we? 🙋🏻

I tried out a couple of Stitch Fix boxes and ended up keeping and wearing three of those items with this look. I’m sort of falling back into a floral kick as we head closer to the warmer weather, but have to admit I’m feeling the darker prints a bit more right now. This will be such a pretty top to wear on its own although I still love it paired with the leather jacket. I guess you can say I have this thing with leather and florals? Now let’s talk about these jeans for a minute. The fact that they’re cropped is what won me over. It’s SO hard to find cropped jeans when you’re petite. Sometimes I get lucky and will find denim that fits right to my ankle, but it’s almost impossible to find ones that are this length. The side
buttons were a fun addition too and I don’t have any jeans this shades of grey. I loved the whole black, grey and pink/purple combo. It’s a little bit feminine and a little bit edgy, just the way I like it.

Since most of these items were from Stitch Fix, it was hard to find them all online so I linked some similar style options! 😊 Thanks for stopping by today loves!
