A Little Pick-Me-Up For Tired Looking Eyes

I’m always looking for a pick-me-up in the morning that goes beyond the typical cup of coffee. Admittedly, I’ve had an insecurity for years of having tired looking eyes. Between my occasional dark circles and puffiness, it often looks like I’m not getting enough sleep.

I am constantly searching for ways to help me feel more awake. Sometimes concealer just isn’t enough for me, and I’ve learned over the years that the way I take care of my skin plays a huge role in this, too. This is why I was so excited to try out the new Mary Kay Hydrogel Eye Patches. Surprisingly, I had never used eye patches before! I’m not even sure how that’s possible. These are probably my favorite product from Mary Kay that I have shared so far. I’ve been testing them out for the past month, and they are just too good.

Let me break down exactly what they do and how I’ve been incorporating them into my weekly routine. The Mary Kay Hydrogel Eye Patches give your skin an instant and refreshing burst of hydration to help awaken the eyes in 20 minutes. They harness the moisturizing power of glycerin, known to moisturize the skin and help with water loss. This formulation also helps with the look of puffiness and dullness. The eye patches alleviate the feeling of dryness, which is especially great during the fall and winter months when the cold air can be harsh on your skin.

You can use them in the morning when you’ve got a long day ahead or put them on at night before you head out. They could even be fun to use during a cozy girls night in to give your skin a little hydration before bed. I personally prefer to apply them in the morning as this is when I need them the most. These are suitable for all skin types and sensitive eyes. They have also been dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested. Also, how cute are they? I love the shimmery pink!

I store these in the refrigerator because it makes them even more cooling on my skin. If you try these out, I suggest doing the same. They’re so refreshing to put on after getting out of the shower in the morning. Super soothing! Once my face is cleansed, I apply the eye patches before anything else. They’re easy to put on with the provided mini spatula. You scoop out the crescents and place them under your eyes with the larger end of the patch toward the outer eye.

Once applied, I’ll set my timer, get dressed, sit in my living room for a bit with a cup of coffee, check emails, etc. This is a great way to get a little bit of me time in before my day kicks off. After the 20 minutes are up I take off the patches, and use my jade roller to massage any excess formula into my skin. You can definitely just use your fingertips, but I personally prefer to use my jade roller. I also store it in my refrigerator, so this adds an extra dose of coolness!

For the best results, apply the eye patches twice a week or whenever you feel like you need that hydration boost. Each container comes with 30 pairs. I’ve admittedly been using them a bit more often during the week. They’re a product that I wouldn’t mind incorporating into my morning routine every day!

If you’re looking for ways to hydrate, cool, and soothe the area under your eyes, then I definitely think you should give these Mary Kay Hydrogel Eye Patches a try. They have helped me so much in terms of decreasing the look of puffiness and making my skin look more revived and refreshed. They really are a great pick-me-up for tired looking eyes! I’d love to know if you decide to use these and how they work for you. Have you ever tried hydrogel eye patches before?
