Cold Shoulder

Happy Monday! Hope all of you had a great weekend. I apologize for my lack of posts last week. I have to admit that I was in a bit of a funk. Not sure why, but I think part of it has been from not sleeping very well at night. I’ve just been overly tired and lacking my usual motivation. I also recently got the fitbit and it tracks my sleeping patterns. I am learning that I get restless an average of 15 times a night, which basically means that I do a lot of tossing and turning in my sleep. No wonder I always wake up with back pain. 🙁 I was able to rest up the last two days though so I am feeling more refreshed and ready to take on the new week. And by rest up, I really mean binge-watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix.

Ok, now on to this pretty little dress. I wore it over Memorial Day weekend and waited awhile to post it on here. It’s so fun and flirty! I’m probably way too into this whole cold shoulder/off-the-shoulder trend, but as I’ve said many times before it’s my favorite this season. Don’t be surprised if I go a little overboard with it! Dresses like this are so simple and easy to wear, making them a great option for summer events and parties. When it’s super hot out [like it was the day I wore this] the last thing that I want to even think about is how to dress myself for the heat and humidity. I’m all about light and flowy pieces for the summer months. I noticed in these photos that my hair is already getting long again! I think I might switch things up for a bit and go back to my lob. [long bob] What do you guys think? I’ve actually been missing my longer hair a lot lately, but taking care of it during the summer can be a struggle. I think a lob would be a good alternative. 🙂

I just wanted to give a quick little update on the new site design that is coming. I decided to take it in a different direction, so the design process sort of started over, but we are moving at a quick pace. I seriously can’t wait for this relaunch! My goal is to have everything done before July, so I will do all I can to make that happen. I think this is going to be a great new beginning and look forward to sharing it with all of you. I leave with you with this happy dance. <3
