Finding Your Fit

Let’s have some girl talk, shall we?! When it comes to finding the right size, I tend to struggle. Jeans are either too tight in the hips or too long in length. My torso is too short for certain tops and dresses that I love and please don’t even get me started on swimwear! As much as I enjoy shopping, searching for pieces that work well with my body type is not always fun. That’s just the truth. However, it’s important to find clothing that fits us just right and it really does make all the difference. You’ll look better and more importantly you will feel much more comfortable. Believe it or not, the same goes for wearing the right size pad when you’re on your period. Trust me. This is something that I never gave much thought to before, but when Always launched their new My Fit sizing system last month, I knew that it would change the game for us.

Aunt Flow visits once a month, just like clockwork, and for me she always seems to pop in at the most inconvenient times. Usually, it’s when I’m traveling (I swear that’s always the case) or have some really big event to attend. The last thing that I want to worry about is cramping, bloating, and figuring out what to wear on my heavy flow days. Not fun! This is where the right size pad comes into play. Did you know that 60% of women have been wearing the wrong size and 80% experience leaks each month? I was a bit surprised by these numbers because that’s a huge percentage. As much as I hate to admit it, I fell into both of these categories. What about you?

I first found out about the Always My Fit sizing chart when I visited Always in Cincinnati a few months ago. It was so cool to get a first look at this new launch, especially since I’ve never seen a sizing chart for pads before. Always is the first feminine care brand to do it, so hats off to them. I was excited to share this new innovation with all of you because I think it’s important that we power through our periods, as hard as that may seem sometimes. The first step to doing this is finding the right size so that we can help to prevent leaks and all around be more comfortable in the clothes that we are wearing during this time of the month. As I mentioned above, I knew that this would make a huge difference for women.

Let’s break it down a little further. How does it work exactly? How do you find your fit? At the top of every Always pack, you will now see a sizing chart. It helps you find the right length pad for both day and night coverage based off your panty size and your flow. The sizes range from one to five with sizes 1-3 typically meant for the daytime and sizes 4 & 5 for use at night. Just think about how much more comfortable you will feel knowing that you are wearing the right size pad. It’ll be equivalent to the comfort you feel when wearing the right size jeans or swimsuit. So the next time you hit the store to stock up for Aunt Flow’s visit, take an extra minute or two in the feminine care aisle to check the top of the Always pack!

Did you already know about the sizing chart? You might remember seeing a few of my posts on Instagram about it a few weeks back. I would love to get your thoughts! You can also find your fit by taking this Cosmo Style quiz. Thanks for stopping by!
