It feels good to be back and finally settled in after the craziness of the past two weeks. I was able to catch up on some sleep over the weekend and adjust back to our time. Jet lag is a real thing. That 6 hour time difference in Sweden really messed me up for a little bit there. No idea how I will handle an even bigger time difference. I can’t wait to share my trip with you guys, most likely tomorrow for Travel Tuesday!
Today’s look is an outfit that I shot right before my trip and I decided to hold off on posting it until I got back. I’m so happy that I did otherwise I wouldn’t have had anything new to put up today. Burgundy and grey has become one of my top favorite color combos this season so I really wanted to play around with it again. I pretty much based my entire look around these grey suede tassel booties. How amazing are they?! They’re definitely different from all of my other booties, so I was looking forward to incorporating them into an outfit this season. Initially I was planning to do an all grey look, but I’ve done that before several times. I was searching through my closet and came across this plaid blanket scarf that I wore all the time last year and knew it would be the perfect piece. Once I decided to pair these shoes with the scarf, the rest of the outfit just came together. I wore this on one of those rare days when it was not freezing out, so instead of a jacket, I went with a sweater and blazer. If you decide to do color blocking, but are a bit hesitant, then I suggest throwing in a printed piece that blends well with both colors. I think that the scarf really brought this outfit together. I also made sure to keep the bag and sweater neutral so that it created the right balance.
Thanks for stopping by today! <3
