#50Styles50States With Old Navy

Happy Labor Day! So excited to have partnered with Old Navy and People.com to represent New Jersey for their #50Styles50States campaign!  I think it’s so cool to see how much fashion can differ all across the U.S.  Growing up in a small town in New Jersey right near NYC, my style has definitely been influenced by both places.  I think that my simplicity as well as my love for colors and bold prints come from Jersey.  We are known to be a bit bold and loud at times!  The classic, chic and edgier vibes of my looks come from the hustle and bustle life of the city. It’s so inspiring.

We are smack in the middle of that awkward period when summer is about to transition into the fall.  Here in NJ, the temps are going to start dropping soon, yet there’s still a little bit of that summer weather lingering around.  I think the first few weeks of September are
always the most confusing in terms of figuring out what to wear.  Now is the time to bring out some light layers and incorporate transitional items into your looks that can get you from one season to the next.  For me, a light weight oversized cardigan always does the trick!

Now is the time when I start gravitating towards neutral based outfits with a pop of color or print.  I love mixing feminine pieces, like this floral top, with edgier pieces, like these ripped jeans, to create somewhat of a boy meets girl vibe because it can be unexpected. Oh and yes, it’s Labor Day and I am still totally wearing white!  I’ll be wearing it all year round. White denim is officially my new go-to and this distressed pair has quickly become a new favorite. To tie everything together, I added in this tan crossbody bag and my classic nude pumps.  Old Navy’s great selection of basics and trendier items helped me to achieve the look I was going for. I feel this outfit really represents my hometown style!
