November Days

I have to be honest. I debated a lot on whether or not to post something today because I know that there are many of us who are experiencing so many different mixed emotions
today after this whole election.  I don’t usually discuss politics on social media nor do I ever try to persuade others to agree with my own personal views. It is very disheartening though to see how divided our country has become and how much hatred there is amongst  each other. All we can do is move forward together and keep the love in our hearts.  I am praying for more peace and unity amongst us all. With that being said, I am going to go on with my day and be as positive about all of this as I possibly can be and I hope that you can do it too.

What I’m Wearing
Sweater: Forever21 [old, similar] | Jeans: Cotton On | Booties: Sole Society
Scarf: Dynamite [old, also love] | Bag: Mezzanine [love this]

I have to thank you all once again for the amazing birthday love. You guys seriously are the best and I am so thankful to connect with each and every one of you. Notice anything
different? I treated myself to a new lens for my birthday! I’ve been having too much fun testing it out with my mom. I still have a lot to learn with it, but I could see such a big difference in the quality of my photos as soon as I started shooting with it and I wish that I got it a long time ago. I think we had a successful first shoot. Now I am more inspired than ever to scout out new locations and to really start kicking things up a notch photography wise.  I do have something scheduled for this Friday that I shot a few weeks ago with my 50mm, but other than that moving forward I plan to use the 85mm majority of the time. Also, once I start getting more familiar with this lens, I would love to do a post about both. Let me know if you would want to see that.

I came across this spot at a train station in Rutherford and thought that it made the perfect fall backdrop.  A fun fact is that my college campus is in Rutherford and that is where I lived for 2 years during school.  Being in that area always brings back all the feels.  This look was a super spur of the moment outfit and I pretty much styled it with these burgundy booties as the foundation. I love how they brought out the burgundy in the plaid scarf.  I’ve actually had this blanket scarf for 2 years now and it’s one of those pieces that I will probably never part with. I’m all about cozy fall vibes and I think this outfit was a great reflection of that. I would love to get your thoughts on this new lens and this location!

I hope that you are all able to have a great day today. Remember, we are in this together. We have to be. <3
