Spring? Is That You?

Monday always get such a bad rap. I admit that I sometimes curse the day too, but it
really is the fresh start to a new week. These next few days are going to be pretty crazy for me as I am still trying to prep for my trip to Cabo on Friday morning with my girl Sydne! I forgot what it was like to pack for a resort getaway. It’s been years. Well, the last time was back in 2014. Thankfully I’ve found a few one-piece swimsuits that I feel pretty good in, now I just need to get my hands on a few more things. Before I go any further, I just have to say THANK YOU so much to everyone for the love on Friday’s post and also for the love on my saying goodbye to insecurities post. It means a lot to me that you appreciate the
transparency. Your comments seriously make my day and serve as amazing reminder to keep going down this path that I’ve created for myself. I know that for some, the thought of
getting too personal on the Internet can seem like a very vulnerable and scary thing. Don’t get me wrong, it definitely can be. Putting yourself out there in that way is never an easy thing to do. On the flip side though, the connection that it creates with all of you is worth it to me. I love having these real conversations. Thank you for reading my words and for
allowing me to share so much of my life with you.

Getting back to Mexico for a moment, I think I’m so excited to go because it means I will get to escape this crappy ass weather. I’ll take 80 degrees and sunshine over cold temps and rain any day of the week. My hope is to come back here feeling refreshed and inspired. I think that is definitely my favorite part about traveling. Regardless of where I am going, just being taken out of my every day environment gives me a fresh perspective. I also have my upcoming trip to Spain in May and I seriously need to get back to planning that. I’ll have 11 full days to explore that beautiful country. It can’t come soon enough!

Now that it’s technically spring, [just ignore the snow on the ground] I’m in the mood to switch up my color palette to something lighter and fresh. I definitely reach for white as this is typically my black substitute in the warmer months. White denim has become such a huge staple in my wardrobe. Pairing it with blush and gold tones is probably one of my favorite color combos for the warmer months. The first day of spring definitely inspired me to put this look together, now if only the weather would match the season!

On an unrelated note, I’ve been trying to switch up my style posts by playing around with different layouts and including more of a Life Chat aspect. I really want to start telling more of a story with my style instead of just talking about the outfits. I also want to start playing around with some new photography ideas so that I can keep it fresh and creative. I would love to get your thoughts! Sound off in the comments below. As always, thanks for checking out today’s post. I hope that you all have a kickass week! 💛
