Happy Monday beauties!

I wore this outfit out the other night for dinner with friends in the city to this restaurant called Gemma down on Bowery.  So good! It was one of those days where everything was going wrong and I just really needed a night out.  I had initially told my friends that I wasn’t going to go, so at the last minute I decided to surprise them and just meet them there.  They had told me everyone was meeting there around 9. It was going to be 8 of us.  When I got there though, no one was there and the hostess told me a big group of girls had just left and went to another restaurant.  So I was like AHHHH I just screwed myself over lol.  I had to call them and ruin my whole surprise.  Apparently they had pushed the meeting time back to 10 and never told me because I said I wasn’t going! They never went to another restaurant they just hadn’t gotten there yet.  Just my luck, right?  I ended up hanging at the bar alone waiting for them to get there and boy was I hangry!

Since I was not feeling my Friday at all, I just couldn’t get inspired to put an outfit together.   When that happens I tend to overthink way too much.  I must have tried on a bunch of different things, but nothing seemed to work. At the last minute though I just said F it and grabbed my go-to black denim.  I swear these jeans are going to get up and walk away on their own soon.  I wear them ALL the time and they are just the most comfortable pair that I own. TopShop jeans have quickly become my favorite.  Once I get out of my own head it becomes much easier for me to create a look or do anything for that matter.  I reached for this high-low blazer and I am happy I did because it helped to dress up this outfit.  I had only worn it once a few months ago.  I decided to stick with the whole black and white theme because let’s face it, you can never go wrong with this classic combo.  Since the smallest details can make any look stand out, I wore my current go-to choker/necklace combo and of course, a bold red lip.  I think it was all very city chic! It ended up being a fun night with great friends. 🙂
