Hey babes! I just wanted to check in today with a few life lately updates as I’m a bit behind on content for this week. Easter weekend was so beautiful and I decided to just forget about work completely so that I could fully embrace the time spent with my family. I didn’t want to have to worry about shooting any new outfits or content for the blog. So that is part of the reason why I’ve been a little silent on here. I am playing catch up this week though, but all for good reason!
I’ve also been a little set back because I’m trying to focus on finalizing all of my
accommodations and plans for Spain. I can’t believe that I am leaving in less than a month! I have to be honest here and say that this has probably been the most overwhelming travel planning experience for me so far. I kind of decided at the last minute to divide my 11 days into Madrid, Seville and Barcelona, which means finding hotels for all
locations, purchasing my train tickets, figuring out the best schedule, creating some type of itinerary and budget for each city, etc. It exhausts me just thinking about it, but I know it’s going to be so worth it. Initially I was only going to stay in Madrid and Barcelona, but after getting so many Sevilla recommendations, I figured why not? I have no idea when I’ll get back over to Spain and I rather take in as much as I can while I am there next month.
I’ve had so much going on lately both work wise and personally that I had completely
neglected my travel arrangements. I looked at the calendar last week and started getting
anxiety that I allowed myself to wait so long to book everything. Do I ever learn my lesson about procrastination? If I keep it up I’ll end up couch surfing all around Spain! I just booked my train ticket from Madrid to Seville, so the goal now is to have all hotels booked by the weekend along with my train ticket to Barcelona. That train ride from Seville is about 5 1/2 hours which kind of sucks, but I figured if I leave early morning I can catch up on a little bit of sleep and even take in all the pretty scenery on the way there. I feel like in some way I am going to be winging this entire trip!
Some other fun news is that my subscribe page is now live! This personalized newsletter will basically be a mini extension of my website and another way for me to connect with you each week. I hope you sign up for it! I will be sending out the first one soon, but I wanted to give people some time to start signing up for it now. So if you have already entered your info and have not received the newsletter yet, that is why! I could also use some feedback. I currently have some email subscribers to WordPress, where they receive an email every time I publish a new post. For those who are subscribed to that is this something you will still want to receive or would you prefer only a newsletter with a weekly update? I don’t want to overwhelm anyone with a bunch of emails every day, but I also don’t want to take something away if you prefer to have it. I’ve been debating on adding those two different options or just keeping the one. Let me know your thoughts as this is for you!
I am also going to be making some more new upgrades and tweaks to the website. Please note that my Contact and Press info can now be found under ABOUT in my navbar. With the additions of Shop and Subscribe, I didn’t want it to feel too crowded up there. It’s been about 7 months since I rebranded and launched Naty Michele, but I already feel like there are some elements that I want to change and enhance. As of now, I am thinking of taking out the whole archives and popular posts section and adding in something completely different and new. I want to constantly ensure that this is an engaging space for all of you, yet one that is also easy to navigate and not overwhelming. I value your feedback, so let me know if there’s anything specific you would love to see on here.
That’s it from me for now, but I’ll be back tomorrow with a style post. Love you guys!
Hi Naty, hmmmm please make sure your accommodation is booked, we don’t want you sleeping in the streets now, but honestly sometimes just winging it on the smaller things will give the best unexpected experience.
Regarding the newsletter, I’m already signed up for the WordPress notification and I prefer the instant notification instead of a weekly update because it might cause me to be behind on posts and be less interactive on each post.
sending you lots of love ❤️
LOL I promise I will! And thanks so much for the feedback on the newsletter. That’s definitely good to know and I don’t want to take that away from you if you feel it helps keep you up to date with my posts! I totally appreciate that you want to continue interacting with me on here. 🙂 I am going to see if we can have the newsletter go out daily as well to give people both options. It’s just more personalized and special to me than the wordpress one. xoxo
Hey Naty. I would love a more personalised weekly newsletter if possible.
Thanks for the feedback! xo
