Silky Hair Dare + A Twitter Party

Disclosure:  This post is in collaboration with Dove and Latina Bloggers Connect.  All opinions expressed are my own and this has not been edited by any third parties.

It’s all about the hair today!  I’ve been getting some questions on instagram lately about the products that I use. Well, I am going to fill you all in on my new hair secret! It’s all thanks to the new
Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Collection.   I took the hair dare!  I have only been using these products for a little over a week now and the difference it made was literally instant.  I truthfully was surprised because it usually takes a little bit longer for me to actually see results.  It gave me that “just got out of the salon” vibe and more importantly made my ends look way healthier, which is needed because of my ombré. This collection has a non-greasy formula that enhances silkiness and shine for all hair types.

In the shower, I use Dove’s Dry Oil Shampoo and Conditioner.  Both of these are infused with African Macadamia Oil and Coconut Oil.  They nourish and condition the hair without making it feel greasy or heavy.  Love the smell too!  In the past, I’ve been skeptical of using products with oil because I was nervous that it would make my hair look too greasy.  Thankfully though, that is not an issue with these products!
Once I get out of the shower, I apply Dove Pure Care Dry Oil from the middle of my hair down to the ends.  I use about 3 small pumps and really focus on the ends the most.  You have to make sure that you are really massaging the oil into your hair.  It absorbs quickly and also protects your hair from the damages that can come from blow drying.  This is a nourishing hair treatment that is also infused with African Macadamia Oil.  Again, it smells so good and seriously leaves my hair silky smooth.

After applying the dry oil, I just do my normal blow dry routine and this is the end result!  I went out last weekend with my friends and they all thought I had just come from the salon.  I typically don’t leave my hair straight because I’ve noticed how dried out my ends are from the ombré, so I take that as a huge compliment.  Not sure if you’ve noticed, but over the past week or so I’ve been doing my hair like this every day!  I finally feel like I can just let my hair down. (pun intended) 😉

Now on to some fun!

I’ll be co-hosting a twitter party with some amazing ladies on Tuesday, October 7th at 8pm EST.  You can RSVP for the party HERE. Once you RSVP, you just have to join in on the conversation using #MujerDove and you will be eligible to win some great prizes!  Make sure to read all of the details in the RSVP link because you can even win a prize BEFORE the twitter party!
