December 4th was the 12 year anniversary of when I first started my blog and began creating content on social media. I still remember where I was at in my life at that time. It was a year after getting laid off from my job and freshly grieving the loss of my dad. I had lost all sense of direction and felt like everything I knew about my life had suddenly been taken away. Little did I know that the very first blog post was about to redirect the entire course of my journey. ⁣
⁣
These last 12 years have brought me some of the most incredible opportunities that I never imagined would happen for me. I’ve worked with some of my dream brands, got featured in magazines and even starred in a commercial — memories that I will always⁣
cherish. And I’ve made some great friendships along the way. ⁣
⁣
But the best part? All of you. Truly. Building an online community is something that I’ve always been extremely grateful for. I have shared so much of my life with you (the good, the bad, the ugly) and many of you have done the same with me. There have been many moments where your encouragement and support has helped me feel less alone in the things I’ve gone through. And I can’t thank you enough for that. My content has changed significantly over the years — from fashion to solo travels to life chats & more — so if you’re still here with me just know how much I appreciate you. ⁣

I might not blog much anymore or create content on here as often as I used to, but I still love connecting and sharing stories and will continue to do so. Cheers to trying new things, stepping outside of our comfort zones, pursuing dreams and not letting the opinions of others hold us back from the things we really want. After 6 months, I finally have prints on the wall! 😊 When I first moved in, I had no idea what I wanted to do in this space. Some of you might remember how stressed I was over this wall behind the sofa because it kept throwing me off. I felt the best thing to do was fill it with photos on both parts of the wall so that it looks more balanced. I’m really happy with how it all came together! And obviously I stressed myself out for no reason. 😬⁣

All prints are from @desenio again. It took me forever to choose this time. They have so many options! I ended up filtering by the colors I wanted to go with and it made deciding a little bit easier. Happy Thanksgiving!! 🤎 The last several years I cooked at my apartment with my mom, but this year we were all together and decided to go out instead. There’s a lot that I’m grateful for — but I’m especially thankful that my journey led me closer to my family this year. I hope you’re all having an amazing holiday. Thankful for each of you. My cozy nook. 🫶🏼 My mom got me this little rose quartz table for my birthday that fit perfectly next to the accent chair. Rose quartz symbolizes strength, perseverance and growth. It’s also believed to ward off negative energy. 💕 ⁣

I finally ordered new prints for a gallery wall above the sofa and can’t wait to share once they’re all up. It’s definitely taking me a lot longer to decorate this apartment (my bedroom needs a lot of work still) but the living room is almost complete! ⁣

Before I moved in I had a lot of anxiety about what I’d be able to do in this space and wasn’t sure if I could make it feel like home. I’m almost 6 months in and I am truly at peace in here. 😌 ⁣

Slides 1 & 2 — Dinner and dancing at Kiki on the River. Highly recommend this place, especially if you’re celebrating a birthday or bachelorette. It was so much fun! ⁣

Slide 3 — We got a drink next door at Seaspice and then ended up going back to Kiki on the River 😄⁣

Slide 4 & 5 — Night 2 we went for dinner at Carbone. It was my first time there and of course I loved the spicy rigatoni! ⁣

Slide 6 & 7 — We spent the last day & night in Brickell and went for dinner and drinks at Komodo. Loved this place so much. ⁣

Thank you for all of the incredibly sweet, thoughtful and kind birthday messages! 🎉 I have felt very loved. I truly could not have asked for a better birthday and I’m feeling extra grateful right now. I celebrated last weekend in Miami with my sister, this past weekend with a few friends and yesterday with my mom. I brought in 40 surrounded by so much love. ⁣
